Ege University was founded in 1955 and, over the years, it has 19 faculties, 9 institutes, 3 graduate schools, a State Conservatory of Turkish Music, 10 vocational schools, 6 rectorate units, and 40 application and research centres. By the 2022-2023 academic year, Ege University had approximately 56,000 students and more than 3,000 academic staff. As one of the leading institutions in the country, Ege University has a strong research infrastructure, especially with its seven accredited research and application centres and a total of 896 laboratories within the faculties, graduate schools, institutes, research and application centres which support the educational and research activities within. Joint projects and active cooperation with regional universities, national organisations, regional and national stakeholders are carried out with a special emphasis on the use of research results for the benefit of society. Ege University ranks among the top five universities in Turkey in terms of publications, patents, and commercialisation of results.

Tèxtils.CAT is a cluster, with a non-profit association structure, formed by companies in the value chain of the advanced textile materials sector in Catalonia and other organisations supporting innovation. Its main goals are to promote innovation, especially in cooperation; to foster links in the Catalan advanced textile materials sector and to give visibility to the cluster and its members at an international level to boost the green and digital transition. Its members comprise SMEs of the whole manufacturing chain of technical textiles, universities, research centres, textile trade associations and other kinds or organisations related to the field.

UNIWA
is the third largest university in Greece with regard to the number of undergraduate students whereas it hosts over 50,000 students in total. At UNIWA, there are twenty-seven Departments operating under the academic umbrella of six Schools, covering a wide range of scientific fields, such as social, administrative and economic sciences, engineering sciences, health and welfare sciences, as well as food sciences and applied art and culture studies. Founded in October 1996, ESITH is the result of close collaboration between the Public Authorities and the Moroccan Association of Textile and Clothing Industries (AMITH). Created with the support of the European Union, this major school of Textiles and Clothing constitutes the forefront of the sector thanks to its state-of-the-art equipment, the involvement of professionals and the collaboration of renowned experts.

The Moroccan Technical Textile Cluster – C2TM was established in November 2013, and its founding members include companies, public and private institutions, as well as educational and research institutions. The main objective of the cluster is to position the offer of Moroccan companies in high value-added technical textile sectors and to stimulate innovative collaborative projects in this field. It aims to increase the competitiveness of member companies through innovative products in the technical textile sectors; to capture a share of the domestic market and gradually move towards exports.

OFPPT is a public body offering diploma, qualification and evening courses in more than 250 establishments. Taking into account the needs of the job market, and in response to the requirements of different economic sectors, the OFPPT concentrates its action and its resources around two strategic missions: Promote the employability of young people with courses responding to the market needs; strengthen the skills and support the businesses growth through the development of a permanent training system.

GIAC The Interprofessional Advice Support Group is a non-profit association created in 1996, financed by the State and managed by the profession, whose general aim is to promote consultancy and in-service training for its members. GIAC Textile and Leather supports companies and professional organisations in the sector in the implementation of their projects.
